Connections with medicine, healing, wellness

When asked about healing practices, interviewee mentioned meditation and chanting. Meditation classes are offered to the community once per week.

Interviewee stressed that illness begins in the mind, and can be assisted by avoiding the three poisons (anger, greed, ignorance) and by practicing non-harming of living beings. However, seeking to avoid illness altogether through a healthy lifestyle is a wrong view. Illness is a natural and cyclical part of human existence, and one should not become depressed or upset when one becomes sick.
